  1. Norma Mae Beavers


    Beavers, (nee Anderson) Norma Mae, age 95, currently of Romeoville, died on March 24th at her home at Senior Star atWeber Place. Norma was born in Lemont, Illinois, on August 29,1923, the daughter of Alfred C. “Andy” and Alvina Anderson. Norma graduated from Lemont Township High School in 1941.Before military service took him to Europe, Norma married her high school sweetheart, James “JD” Beavers on May 22, 1943.After World War II, when JD returned to Lemont, they purchased3 acres of land on High Road in Lockport, IL. The couple built a home and raised a family. They lived there until February, 2012, when they moved to Senior Star. Norma’s hobbies were golf and bowling. At Weber Place she enjoyed many card games and bingo. She was a life-long member of St. Matthew LutheranChurch in Lemont. Norma is survived by her four children, Jane Johns (Philip) ofWhitewater, WI, and James Jr.”Jim”, Jeffry (Nina) and JillBeavers, all of Lockport. She is also survived by grandchildrenTimothy Johns (Monica) of Naperville, Justin Beavers of Taylorville, Rachel Johns (Ty Goodman) of San Diego, CA,Deirdre Johns Anderson (Mark) of Portland, OR, Ashley Bulger(Jon) of Plainfield, Jeremy Beavers and Jacob Beavers ofLockport and 8 great-grandchildren, Joshua, Timothy, and Megan of Naperville, Kira and Claire of Portland, OR, Ada and Seth ofSanDiego, CA and Kelsey of Plainfield. She will be missed by many nephews and nieces.The family wishes to thank their cousin, Susan Boe, for her professional expertise, concern and support for her aunt. The family also wishes to thank the staff at Senior Star at Weber Place for the care she received while living there.Norma was preceded in death by her husband, JD, her parents, her sisters Eileen Nona and Pearl Mentch, her brother Alfred“Buddy” Anderson, her brother and sister-in-law, Royce andMajorie Beavers, daughter-in-law, Marilyn Beavers, and infant granddaughter, Molly Elizabeth Beavers.Visitation is Friday, March 29th from 3-7 P.M. at the Gerharz-Cappetta Funeral Home, 501 State St., Lemont (complementary valet parking provided). Funeral Services Saturday March 30th at 11 A.M. at St.Matthew Lutheran Church. She will lie in state from 10 A.M. til time of the service. Interment Fairmount Willow Hills Cemetery,Willow Springs.     Charlene “Char” Counter (nee Weck), age 81, of Homer Glen, at rest February 13, 2019. Born March 27, 1937 in Lemont, IL to George and Josephine (nee Rieck) Weck. Char attended St. Matthew Lutheran grade school (1951) and Lemont Township High School (1955).  Beloved wife of Jack; loving mother of Debra Sue Counter, Mark Allan (Cindy) and Steven (Debbie) Counter; devoted grandmother of Brian, Tracy, Kristine (Ethan) Wilson, Rebecca, Kyle (Megan) and Michael Counter; dearest sister of Norman Weck, Marilyn Smith and the late George Weck Jr., LaVerne Picha, Blanche Leffler, Eleanor McMillan, Donald and Robert Weck; dear sister-in-law of Rose Nelson, Mitzi and Bernice Weck, Fond aunt of many nieces and nephews. Char was a devoted parishioner of St. Matthew Lutheran Church and served on many boards. She was a former girl scout leader, boy scout den mother and past president and member of Will County Association of Educational Office Personnel.     Randall G. Perini. age 65, at rest suddenly, January 19, 2019 at his home in Lemont. Beloved husband of Diane (nee Spengler); loving father of Stephanie (Joseph) Scorzo, Jessica (Chad) Rhodes, Gwendolyn Perini, Lauren Bordignon, Michelle and Gregory John Perini; cherished grandfather of Valentina and Marcella; devoted son of Helen and the late George Perini; dearest brother of Kathy (the late David) Laubhan and Deborah (Richard) Nona; dear son-in-law of the late Donald and Ann M. Spengler, special brother-in-law of Donald M. Spengler, Catherine Tardy (Brian Turnbull) and Mary (Mark) McCarter; fond uncle of many nieces and nephews.   5. Marvin Louis “Murph” Leffler


    Marvin Louis “Murph” Leffler, age 86, at rest January 7, 2019 at Edward Hospital in Naperville. Born February 1, 1932 in Joliet, IL., he was the youngest of eight children of William and Caroline (nee Schroeder) Leffler. On February 12, 1955, Murphy married Marianne Hennebry and together they raised three sons, Thomas (Jana), Timothy (Tracey) and James (Maureen). Survived by his wife of 63 years and the proud grandpa of nine grandchildren; Nicholas, Thomas (Valerie), Jordan, Christian, Michael, Timothy, Gage, Kathleen and John; twin great granddaughters Autumn and Ava; one sister Helen (Paul) Goebel of Iowa; brothers and sisters-in-law, Dieter and Marge Michaelsen, Beth Hennebry, Tom Hennebry and Marlene Davis; also many nieces, nephews and godchildren. After graduating Lemont High School, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force, serving four years during the Korean Conflict. Murph loved the outdoors and especially enjoyed fishing with his sons and grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents; brothers William, Herbert, Richard, and Norman and sisters Dorothy (Arthur) Anderson and Erna (Robert) Kauk. Murph was a lifelong resident of Lemont, IL and longtime member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church and Lemont VFW Post 5819.   9. Catherine “Cathy” Yates


    Yates, “Cathy” Catherine M. (Denos) of Plainfield peacefully passed away Tuesday December 4th, 2018. At the age of 57, her final moments were with here loving family by her side.

    Catherine, beloved wife of 29 years to Timothy A. Yates of Plainfield. Preceded in death by her loving mother Beverly M. Denos, survived by her loving father George J. Denos of Romeoville, brother John (Donna) Denos of Joliet, Kimberly (Kevin) Denos and George Denos Jr. of Romeoville.

    Cherished Aunt to many nieces and nephews along with numerous cousins.

    Cathy will certainly be missed by all who knew her, especially her team from Navistar where Cathy had worked for many years.

    For 57 years all who knew Cathy were blessed by her caring heart and wonderful soul. Cathy has been reunited with her mother Beverly in Heaven.
