    Richard Vincent Hoffman, at rest February 11, 2018 at Mother Theresa Nursing Home in Lemont. Born October 14, 1928 to the late Vincent and Catherine Hoffman. Private First Class Hoffman proudly served his country in the United States Army during the World War II era. Beloved husband of Bridget (nee Hennessy); loving father of Richard J. (Laurie) Hoffman, Mary Ellen (Frank) Newcomb, Kathleen (Tom) Kielusiak, Maureen (Mark) Moriarty, Michael J. (Joan) and James Hoffman; devoted grandfather of 16, great grandfather of 17; dearest brother of Rita Pytlewski and the late Bernadine C. Roe. Mr. Hoffman was a member of the Lemont Knights of Columbus Council #1599, Loyal Order of Moose Berwyn Lodge # 424, American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars both of Fort Myers Beach, FL. Mr Hoffman was formerly employed with the Village of Lemont and Peterson’s Hardware. He also owned and operated Richard Hoffman Construction.
