Born March 15, 1916 in Chicago, Il. to the late Antonio and Anna nee Voltarel. Proud veteran of WW II United States Army Air Corp. Retired owner/operator of A. Dalpos & Sons Contractors in Lemont. Former director of Lemont National Bank, Lemont volunteer fireman and Lemont JC’s Man of the Year. Beloved husband of Gloria nee Drifus; loving father of Anton “Tony” (Paula) of New Hampshire, Richard “Rick” of Las Vegas and the late Thomas and Robert; devoted grandfather of Carol and Ben (Megan); dearest brother of Rosemary Filotto of Plainfield, Irene Pareti of Westchester and the late Albert, Joseph, John, Genevieve and Helen Dalpos. Fond uncle of nieces and nephews. Visitation Tuesday September 29, 2015 from 3-8 P.M. at Gerharz-Cappetta Funeral Home 501 State St., Lemont. John J. Danajka, age 88 of Homer Glen, at rest September 14, 2015. Mr. Danajka served his country proudly during the Korean Conflict as a member of the United States Army.
