Richard V. Hoffman

Richard Vincent Hoffman, at rest February 11, 2018 at Mother Theresa Nursing Home in Lemont. Born October 14, 1928 to the late Vincent and Catherine Hoffman.  Private First Class Hoffman proudly served his country in the United States Army during the World War II era.  Beloved husband of Bridget (nee Hennessy); loving father of Richard J. (Laurie) Hoffman, Mary Ellen (Frank) Newcomb, Kathleen (Tom) Kielusiak, Maureen (Mark) Moriarty, Michael J. (Joan) and James Hoffman; devoted grandfather of 16, great grandfather of 17; dearest brother of Rita Pytlewski and the late Bernadine C. Roe. Mr. Hoffman was a member of the Lemont Knights of Columbus Council #1599, Loyal Order of Moose Berwyn Lodge # 424, American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars both of Fort Myers Beach, FL. Mr Hoffman was formerly employed with the Village of Lemont and Peterson’s Hardware. He also owned and operated Richard Hoffman Construction. Memorial Mass will be held at St. Patrick Church on Tuesday February 20 at 10 A.M. in Lemont followed by inurnment at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, Il. Irma C. Zabicki – Ackerman (nee Wagner), age 86, at rest February 1, 2018. Longtime resident of Lockport. Born December 14, 1931 in Zanesville Ohio to Karl and Gladys Wagner; beloved wife of the late Raymond Ackerman and Roman Zabicki; loving mother of Christine and Karl (LouEllen) Ackerman and the late Erich; dearest step-mother of Joan Savage, Roman, Jill and Daniel Zabicki, Janet Kropiewnicki, William Zabicki, Jane Brown, JoEllen Riccio and Jean Lopez; dear grandmother of 30, great grandmother of many; fond sister of Jane Renoir, Martha Anker and John Wagner; special aunt of many nieces and nephews. Donald H. Wall, age 76, at rest January 7, 2018, at his home in Lemont surrounded by his loving family. Born February 19, 1941 in Evergreen Park, IL to Harry and Leona (nee Starshack) Wall. Beloved husband of Sandra nee Srotyr; loving father of Lawrence (Donna) and Timothy (RaeLyn); devoted grandfather of Brandon, Tyler, Kelsey, Keaton and Madison; dearest godfather of Chris; dear brother-in-law of Sharon Cottongim and Edward Srotyr; fond uncle of several nieces and nephews. Don retired in May of 1997 after 35 years as process supervisor for the refinery in Lemont.  He was a 10 year financial secretary for the Pure Rod & Gun club in Plainfield, IL and an 8 year committee member for the Boy Scout Troop 49. Don played collegiate football at Vanderbilt University. Beloved father of Donald C.
